STONE LODGE SPEAKER SERIES
The Garden Club of Senoia presents the STONE LODGE SPEAKER SERIES. We invite the public to enjoy this fun educational series of presentations, workshops, and lectures at the historic 1925 Stone Fishing Lodge within Marimac Lake Park, Senoia. All proceeds go directly to the preservation and maintenacne of the Lodge and many civic beautification projects around the downtown historic district.

Deck City Hall for the Holiday’s
It is time for a holiday Social and it is time to decorate City Hall for the Main Street Holiday shopping season. All active members are welcome to volunteer for this holiday social along with our City Hall Committees.

Watercolor Flower Painting
A Hands on Workshop with Jessica.
This workshop is designed to simplify the process, helping you navigate through the common pitfalls typically encountered when painting flowers. Jessica aims to make the leaning curve less steep and more enjoyable!

Atlantic Botanical Gardens Field Trip
Walk through the amazing, well curated Gardens, learn as you see an unusual variety of plant species and marvel the impressive Art installations.
If you would like to join us afterwards to enjoy a delightful lunch at the LONGLEAF Restaurant within the Botanical gardens.

An April Affair Annual fundraiser
Join us in the lovely “Lillie” Garden at the Veranda Historic Inn, Senoia. Enjoy ‘An April Affair” with lively conversation, a savory lunch and champagne cocktails. Our feature speaker for the event is Ashley Frasca from 95.5 WSB Radio Green & Growing, Saturday morning garden show who will share amusing stories and gardening insights.

All ticket sale donations will go directly to our civic projects that contribute to the beautification of Senoia. Our volunteered time goes directly to the yearly plantings and maintenance of:
City Hall planters, Hanging Baskets on Main, Camellia Garden, Gardener’s Alley, Ann’s Alley, and our newest project the Historic “Lillie” Garden at the Veranda Inn.
The contributions from our Garden Club members along with the generous donations from the community have made a difference between a good city and a great city, one garden at a time.

A delicious luncheon while you stroll among displays of Hospitality ideas. Learn table setting do’s and don’ts, fancy napkin folding techniques and ideas that will inspire your next home gathering.
Hospitality chairwoman Lisa and her creative team will be our Hostesses.
GARDENING & GARDEN DESIGN 101
Lecture, Presentation, Q&A presented by a panel of three expert gardening members. They will introduce us to ideas on design, gardening basics and how to get started along the garden path of successful gardening.

HIGH TEA Social & Annual Planning Meeting
The First Social of the Year & Meeting will be an afternoon of camaraderie and conversations about plans for the new year. We will enjoy a variety of teas and waltz through dainty luncheon fare.

Wreath Making Workshop
Lori Parten, Floral Designer
We welcome Lori, owner of Seasons in Bloom, to introduce the Art of Wreath Making.
The techniques learned at this hands-on workshop can be applied to all wreath-making, for any season. She will introduce us to handling fresh grape vines, various stems, pods, feathers, and dried florals to make your first professional looking wreath.
Be prepared for the holiday season!

It is time to celebrate a wonderful Spring Season and our last oorah together prior to the summer break. The work is done, a gathering of good friends, good food, and good fun at Curious Kitchen & Bar, makes it a perfect day!
The Swan House
Field Trip into Atlanta’s Garden History!
A Self-guided Tour of Swan House and the formal gardens.
This historically significant house and formal gardens were designed, by Phillip Trammel Shultze in 1928, for Edward & Emily Inman. On the National Register of Historic Places it is a rare document of luxurious living, personal taste, interior decoration, and an outstanding example of the best twentieth-century landscape design.
Then join us, if you are interested, for lunch in the original Coach House for the Estate. The Swan Coach House Restaurant: this building survives with modern alterations as a restaurant, art gallery, and gift shop.

Ten Steps to Growing Great Roses

Enter the world of roses, learn the different varieties, how they grow, where they will grow well, their unique scents, and how to incorporate them into your garden successfully!
Join us, It can be achieved!
She will educate us on how to establish a beautiful rose bed, or incorporate roses into your perennial bed in Georgia. She has years of experience with her Rose Garden in Peachtree City, which is clearly a wonder. She has invited us to see her garden one day, and will arrange a visit when in full bloom. We will see the beauty, and how the romantic scent of roses, can bring a new dimension to gardening.

Graves Landscapes: The Nineteenth Century Rural Cemetery Movement
This History and Preservation lecture will inform us about how our public parks began, and our cemeteries can be a garden of parklike design. Let us join our Author: Erica Danylchak on this interesting ride through the history of the Rural Cemetery Movement, which will help us see and should someday be, applied to our City of Senoia cemetery.
Books will be available at the lecture or Pre-Order in the Field Shop: $25 purchase signed by the author.
Erica Danylchak: holds a degree in history from Boston University and heritage preservation from Georgia State University. She has worked in archival science at the Cherokee Garden Library and Kenan Research Center at the Atlanta History Center and in preservation as executive director of the Buckhead Heritage Society.
Cookbook Celebration Brunch & Social
Cookbook Recipe Tasting Brunch, Social & General Meeting
At this Meeting we will celebrate the success of our wonderful Cookbook and Cookbook Committee members.
Prior to the brunch date we will ask for members to sign up to prepare and bring a “small bite, breakfast cake, or dessert” from our Cookbook for all of us to taste and enjoy.
Champagne Punch, a delicious cookbook submittal by Julie Schafer, will be our celebratory punch of the day!

Hand-Tied Floral Arranging Workshop
Season In Bloom
Lori Parten: Floral Designer & Owner
This is our Second Floral Design Workshop which will strengthen your skills by adding the hand-tied technique to your floral designs, or if a beginner, it will be a great introduction to creating beautiful floral arrangements.
Make your next dinner party or family gathering look professional and elegant!
We are fortunate that Lori has agreed to meet with us for a wonderful relaxed evening workshop to show us the Art of Hand-Tied Arranging. She explains, “ this is a key necessary skill that, once perfected, will allow you to do all other Floral Arrangements.” Her approach, beautiful eye for color and design ability will be a priceless tool for us all.
Supplies provided: If you have your own floral snips from the last floral design workshop session, please bring them with you.
BYO adult beverages otherwise light refreshments for all.
Hills & Dales Estate: House and Garden Tour- members only
A private docent tour of the Estate House and beautiful formal greenhouse & gardens, with a delicious gourmet boxed lunch, soft drinks, and mimosa’s for a midday soiree. We will be dining right in the garden for our private day on the estate, just like Mrs. Callaway and her friends would have enjoyed so many years ago. Plenty of fun but also a very informative tour which gives us insight to preservation of historic gardens. This house is in “Seeking Eden”, we will see first hand how important it is and what it entails to preserve garden history.
Spring Luncheon: The Farmhouse Restaurant

Let’s spend a beautiful day in the “Hills” of the countryside at it’s finest! Enjoy lunch at the original Farmhouse on the Serenbe property in the private summer dining room. A casual setting with service that will spoil us. Eat, Drink, be Merry, and then let’s go shopping in town where you will find privately owned shops filled with interesting and unique items!
